Pumpkin tiramisu with amarettini - simple dessert with the wow factor

A creamy, autumnal tiramisu without alcohol and without raw egg - but with a secret ingredient that provides extra creaminess and flavor: pumpkin! Refined with mascarpone, cinnamon, amarettini and caramel cookies, this dessert is the perfect end to parties, Sundays or cozy afternoons.

Preparation

Ingredients for the special tiramisu

For the cream:

  • 3 egg yolks

  • 110 g sugar

  • 250 g mascarpone

  • 100 g pumpkin puree (preferably Hokkaido)

  • 3 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ginger powder

  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

  • ¼ tsp ground cloves

For the layers:

  • 1 packet of Amarettini

  • 1 packet of caramel cookies (e.g. Lotus)

  • 200 ml strong coffee (cooled, optionally with espresso)

For the decoration:

  • Caramel sauce (optional)

  • Cinnamon or cocoa powder for sprinkling

Preparation - step by step

  1. Prepare the pumpkin puree

    Cut the pumpkin into small pieces, cook until soft and finely puree. Strain off any excess liquid.

  2. Mix the cream

    Beat the egg yolks and sugar until frothy, fold in the mascarpone, then stir in the pumpkin puree and spices. Mix everything well until you have a smooth, creamy mixture.

  3. Seasoning coffee

    Add a little cinnamon or cloves to the cooled coffee - this adds depth and a wintery aroma.

  4. Layers

    Dip the cookies briefly in the coffee and layer alternately with the cream in glasses or a baking dish. Finish with the cream.

  5. Cooling

    Leave to infuse in the fridge for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  6. Serve

    Sprinkle with cinnamon, cocoa powder or caramel sauce. If you like, crumble a few cookies on top for a crunchy topping.

Tips from the househusband:

  • It gets more intense with a shot of espresso in the coffee

  • For an alcohol-free version, cocoa is also suitable for dunking

  • Leftover pumpkin? They go perfectly in gnocchi or soup - nothing goes to waste!
